Mission: Transforming Education in Virginia Through Theatre Education.

Vision Statement: VA Thespians will provide, advocate, encourage, and acknowledge by ensuring every educational theatre program in VA has access to the benefits of our organization. We will do this by:

  • Providing opportunities for Virginians to come together and explore theatre education through an annual state festival
  • Advocating and Educating theatre and non-theatre professionals, as well as stakeholders
  • Encouraging and providing Leadership and Advocacy training in both our students and troupe directors in the field of theatre education  
  • Encouraging the incorporation of theatre in middle and elementary school programming through partnerships and advocacy work
  • Acknowledging Troupes in VA for their excellent work and contributions to educational theatre
